The Monument to the Great Fire of London

The Monument to the Great Fire of London , or simply the Monument stands at the junction of Monument Street and Fish Street Hill in the City of London. The monument was finished in 1677 to commemorate the rebuilding of London following the Great Fire of London in 1666. It is located at the northern end of London Bridge and is easily access by the nearby Monument Tube station.

The actual monument offers 311 steps up to a 360 degree view of London and is worth the entry price of about $5 for Adults and $5 for kids. Most people would however combine it with another nearby attraction and you can by a joint ticket with the Tower Bridge Exhibition.
